About TeensConnex
TeensConnex is a two-session virtual program for teens who are experiencing family transitions, including parental separation, divorce, or the breakup of a parental relationship.
Led by licensed clinicians, TeensConnex provides a supportive environment where teens can process emotions, explore healthy and unhealthy relationship dynamics, and develop practical skills for navigating changes within their families.
The program helps teens strengthen communication and coping skills, build healthy relationships, and develop greater confidence as they adjust to family changes.

Includes a 60-minute teen session followed by a 30-minute Parent Connection.
What Teens Will Explore
Through guided discussion and age-appropriate activities, TeensConnex helps teens understand their emotions, navigate family changes, strengthen communication skills and develop healthy ways to cope with challenges.

Understanding Emotions & Family Changes
Teens explore the emotions that can accompany separation, divorce and other family changes. They learn that their feelings are normal and develop greater awareness of how changes within their family may affect their thoughts, emotions and relationships.

Coping, Communication & Getting Support
Teens identify healthy ways to cope with difficult emotions, recognize when and how to ask for help, and develop communication and conflict-resolution skills that can help them navigate challenges at home and in everyday life.

Building Healthy Relationships & Moving Forward
Teens explore healthy relationship patterns, learn strategies for strengthening connections with parents and others, and develop greater self-awareness as they consider the choices, goals and relationships that can help them move forward with confidence.
Parent Connection

After each TeensConnex session, parents participate in a 30-minute Parent Connection designed to help them understand and reinforce what their teen has learned.
Parent Connection gives parents practical information and strategies for supporting their teen as the family navigates separation, divorce or other family changes.

Understanding — Learn about the topics, skills and strategies your teen explored during TeensConnex and how family changes may affect teens differently.
Practical Strategies — Receive tools for supporting your teen’s emotional well-being, communication and adjustment during family transitions.
Communication & Connection — Learn ways to encourage open communication, strengthen your connection with your teen and provide support while respecting their growing independence.

Part 1: Wednesday, October 21
7:00 – 8:00 p.m. - Teen session 8:00 – 8:30 p.m. - Parent Connection
Part 2: Wednesday, October 28
7:00 – 8:00 p.m. - Teen session 8:00 – 8:30 p.m. - Parent Connection
Program Fee: $50 for the first child and $25 for a second child in the same family.
The program fee includes materials that will be sent to the email address(es) provided during registration.
